Mr. Carl Day

Mr. Carl Day, born May 10, 1935 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Oria & Dallie Wells Day. He departed this life on Monday, December 05, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. He was 76 years of age and was residing at 4609 Polls Creek Road, Smilax, KY at the time of his passing. Carl was united in marriage to his loving and devoted late wife: Vina Wells Day on April 21, 1954. By occupation Carl was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY. He enjoyed fishing as a hobby. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife: Vina Wells Day. Mr. Carl Day leaves the following relatives surviving: One son: Gary Day & wife, Rebecca of Smilax, KY, one daughter: Lois Thomas of Smilax, KY and one sister: June Joseph & husband, Bradley of Smilax, KY. One very special granddaughter: Kendra Day of Smilax, KY, along with two special nephews: Danny Lewis & Keith Joseph and one special niece: Linda Caudill. One Brother-in-law: Eldon Wells & wife, Lois of Smilax, KY and a host of other relatives & friends also survive.
