Mr. Chris Pennington

Chris Pennington, born January 1, 1936, in Leslie County, KY, to the union of Estill and Polly Joseph-Pennington. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at his residence in Hyden. He was a life long resident of Leslie County and was residing at 22281 Main Street Hyden, KY, at the time of his passing. He was 74 years 7 months and 18 days of age. He was united in marriage on July 3, 1963, to his loving and devoted wife, Mary Morris-Pennington. By occupation, Chris was a self employed business owner. He was co-founder and co-owner of Pennington Tire and Market and Pennington Wrecker Service. Chris enjoyed traveling, boating, working, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Andy and Pearl Pennington.Chris Pennington leaves the following relatives surviving. His loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Mary Pennington of Hyden, KY; One son: Tim Pennington of Hyden, KY; One daughter: Sherry Harvey & Ervin of Justice, WV; Four brothers: Jeff Pennington & Evelyn of Yeaddiss, KY, Wash Pennington & Mary of S. Lebanon, OH, Bill Pennington and Greta of Hyden, KY, and Dillard Pennington & Lucille of Lebanon, OH; Two sisters: Lucy Onorato & Jeff of CT, and Ruth Coots of Hamilton, OH; Three grandchildren: Shawn Potter, Joel Harvey, and Cullen Shawn Pennington. Chris leaves behind a host of other friends and loved ones.
