Mr. Dennis Cogdill, born March 30, 1956 in Rockford, IL to the union of the late Gerald and the late Frances Masoner Schmeling. He departed this life on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard, KY at the age of 56 years - 3 months - 19 days. By occupation, Dennis was a truck driver. He had been a resident of Leslie County for the past 16 years, coming from Jefferson City, TN. He was affiliated with the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY. He enjoyed four wheeling and tending to his dogs. Mr. Dennis Cogdill leaves surviving the following: His loving and devoted wife: Debbie Brock of Warbranch, KY; 1 daughter: Samantha Brock of Pineville, KY; 1 brother: Danny Cogdill of Jefferson City, TN; Special brother-in-law: Herman Brock of Warbranch, KY; Special sister-in-law: Diana Blankenship of Lexington, TN; A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Cogdill will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Sunday, July 22, 2012 from the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY with Denver Brock and Douglas Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery at Mozelle, KY. Friends may call for visiting hours after 6:00 P.M. - Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the church. The family entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home of Hyden to carefully handle the arrangements.
