Mr. Miles McIntosh

Mr. Miles McIntosh, born April 17, 1935 in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of the late Howard McIntosh and the late Dot Morgan McIntosh. Miles passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 26, 2012 at his residence in Hyden. Miles was 76 years, 11 months and 09 days of age and was residing at 17529 Highway 421, Hyden, KY at the time of his passing. He was united in marriage to his late loving wife, Joan Roberts McIntosh on February 16, 1957. Miles was a self employed merchant. He was the founder and co-owner of the former McIntosh Market in Hyden. Also by occupation he was a self employed steel worker and welder. Miles enjoyed working with his sons at McIntosh Welding. He also enjoyed going to church, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Hyden Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Miles is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife: Joan Roberts McIntosh. Mr. Miles McIntosh leaves the following relatives surviving: Three sons: Mack McIntosh and wife, Vera of Hyden, KY, Vic McIntosh and wife, Von of Stinnett, KY and Marlan McIntosh of Hazard, KY. One sister: Dorothy Davidson and husband, Willis of Somerset, KY; Four grandchildren: Mark McIntosh, Tori McIntosh, Johna Browning and Josh Lewis; Five great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Jo Lewis, Dalton Browning, Cutter Browning, Taylor Browning and Ava Browning; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends survive his passing. Family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Blue Grass - Mountain Community. The following will serve as pallbearers: Josh Lewis, Mark McIntosh, Vic McIntosh, Mack McIntosh, Marlan McIntosh, Eric Browning, Shawn Collett and Hobert Morgan. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers: Pearl Pennington, Jr., Cletis Wells, Jr., Malcomb Collett and Mickey Ray Howard.
