Mr. Robert T. Howard

Mr. Robert T. Howard was born February 13, 1941 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Ray and Cassie Farler Howard. He departed this life on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. He was 72 years of age and was residing at Wendover, KY at the time of his passing. Robert was of the Church of Christ faith. Robert lived much of his formative years in Ohio where he raised his family and worked as a construction worker. He moved back to Leslie County in 1983. He was formally employed by Mary Breckinridge Hospital where he worked for many years in security and maintenance. Robert enjoyed going to church, blue grass music, pitching horse shoes, meeting others and socializing. Robert was an avid bowler. He had bowled in a league for many years. Robert had bowled games of 269, 278 and 280 for a total of 827. Robert was also inducted into the Bowler's Hall of Fame. He was an avid UK fan, both basketball and football. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dixie Howard; 1 brother: Elmer Howard and 1 infant brother. Mr. Robert T. Howard leaves surviving the following relatives: 1 daughter: Dwana Lynn Chapman (Andy) of Union, OH; 2 brothers: Gurdon Howard (Sharon) and Allen Howard (Barb), both of OH; 2 sisters: Joyce Blair (Jim) and Ruth Howard (Earl), both of OH; 2 grandchildren: Dixie Martin (Kevin) and Robert Chapman (Stephanie); He is also survived by a number of cherished and caring friends whom were so very dear to him. Funeral services for Mr. Robert T. Howard will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at (Leeco Rd.) Wooton, KY. The Howard family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
