Ms. Mary Jones

Ms. Mary Osborne Jones, born March 14, 1931 in Leslie County, KY to the union of the late Billy and Jane Rice Osborne. She departed this life on January 03, 2013 at the Albert Chandler U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was 81 years, 09 months and 20 days of age at the time of her passing. She was a life long resident of Leslie County, KY with the exception of having lived in Brooksville, IN for a short time. She was a homemaker and a member of the Victory Mountain Grace Brethren Church. She enjoyed gardening, going to church, cooking for her family and visiting with friends. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Farris Jones; son: Billy Ray Osborne; daughter: Mollie Jane Jones; Brothers : Jimmy, Sim and Gillie Osborne; 4 sisters: Mollie Sizemore, Emily Gibson, Hallie Sizemore and Laura Howard; Mary Osborne Jones is survived by: 1 son: Sheridan Osborne and special daughter-in-law: Kathleen; 1 brother: Carl Osbone (Mallie) of Thousandsticks, KY; 2 sisters: Dallie Osborne (Golden) and Lucy Jones, both of Thousandsticks, KY; 2 grandchildren: Teresa Osborne and Michael Jones. 1 great grandchild: Payton Jones. A host of other family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 08, 2013 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home in Hyden with Jerry Holland, Jerry McKinley Holland and Sam Baer officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones-Sizemore Cemetery at Thousandsticks. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Monday, January 07, 2012 at the funeral home.
