Nancy Jane Wooton, resident of Hyden, Kentucky, born September 24, 1943. She was born to the union of the late Henry and Cassie Sizemore Stacy.
Nancy lived a life characterized with love, devotion, hard work, and dedication to her family. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, mother-in-law, and cherished friend.
Nancy found joy in the serenity of the outdoors. An avid gardener, both vegetables and flowers, she took pride in the fruit of her labor, and canning her harvest.
Many days Nancy could be found on her porch watching the deer and humming birds. She loved game shows, and "Match Game" was her favorite. She also enjoyed sewing beautiful pieces, something that brought her joy and relaxation.
Above all, Nancy cherished the time spent with her family, grandchildren, and her two beloved pets, "Layla" and "Lucky".
Nancy departed this earthly walk of life surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 21, 2026 at her residence. Nancy was 82.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving & devoted husband Jackson Wooton, Jr., her beloved daughter and son-in-law Connie Caldwell and Stevie Caldwell; brothers Carter Stacy and Will Stacy; As well as her mother-in-law, and father-in-law Jackson, Sr., and Serenia Wooton.
Left to carry on her legacy are her three cherished children Rick Wooton (Rita), Ronnie Wooton (Malia), and Rhonda Watts (Charles), all of Hyden, KY; Her treasured grandchildren, Crishina, Tyler, Renee, Eli, Lucy, Alex, Lily, Stephanie, Steven, Dwight, Brandon, Justin, Jordan, Derek, Kelley, Jacob, Amber, Arron, Erick, Breanna, and Chance; Her loving great grandchildren Cyrus, Dylan, Jessa, Jenna, Colton, Courtney, Calvin, Adrionnah, Alonah, Haley, Alissa, Bella, Jackson, Mattie, Oliver, Finn, Arizona, Aliya, Robert, Skyler, Kaylee, Isiah, Hudson, and Octavia; her cherished great-great grandchildren Callum and Stetson. A special niece Tonya Hay. A host of other relatives and friends also survive her passing.
Funeral services for Nancy Jane Wooton will be held at 2pm Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Wolfe Clifford Caldwell officiating.
Interment will follow the services at the Wooton Cemetery with Rick Wooton, Ronnie Wooton, Brandon Watts, Justin Watts, Steven Ray Caldwell, Cliff Maggard serving as pallbearers.
Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6pm until 9pm on Wednesday evening at Wolfe & Sons chapel.
