Paul Steven Wells

Paul Steven Wells of Wooton, KY departed this walk of life on Saturday, August 06, 2016 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center at the age of 63. Paul was born August 03, 1953 in Bluffton, IN to the union of the late Archie Vinson Wells and the late Betty Jean Vanover Wells. Paul was a business owner and former security supervisor. He enjoyed music, reading the Bible, his dogs and fishing. Most importantly, Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Stephen P. Wells.

Survivors include, his loving wife, Rose Asher Wells of Wooton, KY; his beloved step-mother: Katherine Wells of Smilax, KY; one son, Dwayne Cornett & wife, Jamie of Big Rock, KY; two daughters, Mary Ann Baker & husband, Dale of Confluence, KY and Melinda Chaber & husband, Abdo of Hurricane, WV; one brother, Archie V. Wells, Jr. & wife, Lori of S.C.; three sisters, Emma High of S.C., Linda Groover & husband, Rick of N.C., and Angie Osborne & husband, Paul of Thousandsticks, KY; step siblings, Doug Pennington & wife, Barbara, William Pennington & wife, Dorothy, Jess Pennington & wife, Ginny, all of Smilax, KY, Gillis "Doc" Pennington & wife, Wanda of Wooton, KY, and Marie Dossett & husband, Donald of London, KY; six cherished grandchildren, Rhonda Eversole, Melissa Stidham, Breinna Colwell, Trevor Colwell, Travis Maggard, and Trenton Maggard; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Colton; special pet companion, Dobie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the chapel of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Tommy Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Wells Family Cemetery at Smilax, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M., Tuesday evening at the funeral home chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
