Pauline Coots

Pauline Coots, born October 01, 1934 in Leslie County , KY to the union of the late Malcum and Zilpha Wells Fields. She departed this life on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. She was 76 years of age at the time of her passing and was residing at Smilax, KY. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and wife. She was a life long resident of Leslie County and was affiliated with the Smilax Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden. Most importantly she enjoyed being in the lives of her children, grandchildren and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Danny Coots, one brother: Johnny Fields, two sisters: Polly Dillon and Alene Coots. Two grandsons: Clayton Paul Carroll and Raymond Paul Coots. Pauline leaves the following surviving: Her loving and devoted husband of 59 years: Paul Coots of Smilax, KY, six sons: Malcum Coots & Eva of Smilax, KY, Keith Coots & Linda of Hyden, KY, Elmer Coots & Tina of Wooton, KY, Steven Coots & Mae, Ernest Coots & Crystal and Dustin Coots all of Smilax, KY. Two daughters: Kathy Carroll & Clayton of Smilax, KY and Donna Woods & Dean of Hyden, KY. Two brothers: Adrian Fields & Terri of Christopher, KY, Raleigh Fields & Judy of Farler, KY, Three sisters: Brenda Causey & Elmer of Farler, KY, Dallie Wilson & Fred of Hyden, KY and Kathlene Begley & Larry of Delphia, KY. Special friends: Ricky Day and Harold Turner. 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survives.
