Randall Scott Coots

Randall Scottie Coots, age 32, of Hyden, Kentucky, husband of Jessica Coots, passed away Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

Scottie was born November 12, 1982 the son of Malcome Coots and the late Martha Ervin Coots. He was affiliated with the Victory Mountain Grace Brethern Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and working on vehicles.

He is preceded in death by his mother Martha Coots; grandparents: Pauline Coots, James Ervin, Columbus Pennington, Sarah Bell Pennington, and Frank Reeves.

Scottie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jessica Turner Coots, three sons: Justin, Hunter, and Braxton Coots, all of Hyden, KY; one daughter: Catrina Coots of Hyden, Kentucky; Father: Malcom Coots and step mother, Eva Coots of Smilax, Kentucky; brothers: Danny Coots of Smilax, Kentucky and Junior Coots and fiancee, Amanda of Richmond, Kentucky; two sisters: Benita Asher of Beattyville, Kentucky and Amanda Carden and husband, Laney of Hampton, Tennessee; step-brother: Brian Estep and wife, Jess Ann; step-sister: Jessica Falls and husband, John; Patermal Grandfather: Paul Coots of Smilax, KY; Mamaw Irvin; six nephews, five nieces, four great-nieces: Samantha Coots, Raegan Coots, Kendalynn Coots, Kenzie Coots and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Victory Mountain Grace Brethern Church at Confulence, Kentucky with Sam Baer and Brian Overbee officiating. Burial will follow in the Asher Family Cemetery at Wooton, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the church after 6:00 P.M., Friday until the funeral hour on Sunday.

The family entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home to be in charge of the arrangements.
