Rita Faye Woods

Rita Faye Woods, age 49 of Hwy 2022 Buckhorn, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Rita was born in Hyden, Kentucky to the union of George and Betty Jean Estep Woods. She was a life long resident of Saul, Kentucky. She was a former nursing home employee, Panco Wood Shop employee, and was attending college to receive her degree in social work. Rita was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, and being outdoors. She enjoyed walks with her fiancé, James. Most importantly, Rita enjoyed being involved in the lives of her parents and grandchildren. Rita is preceded in death by the father of her children, Aster Cole, Jr..

Rita is survived by her beloved parents, George and Betty Jean Woods of Buckhorn, KY; two daughters, Georgina Collins (Claude) of Hazard, KY, and Tonya Jean Gipson (Timothy) of Buckhorn, KY; fiancé, James Riley of Buckhorn, KY; one brother: Kerry Lee Woods of Buckhorn, KY; three sisters: Sandra Woods Lovins of Oneida, KY, Betty Sue Harvey (Ronnie) of Clay Hole, KY, and Lois Abner (George) of Buckhorn, KY; Three grandchildren and one to be, Saleena Faye Collins, Triston Joshua Aster Gipson, Aiden Collins, and Trenton Cain Gipson; A host of other family and friends also survive her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Earl Estep and George Abner officiating. Burial will follow in the Government Couch-Town Cemetery at Saul, Kentucky. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
