Robert Lee Jones

Robert Lee Jones, age 73 husband of Clara Jones of Hyden, Kentucky passed away Monday at the Mary Breckinridge A.R.H. Hospital in Hyden, Kentucky.
He is the son of the late Lee and Quillie Hollan Jones born February 22, 1944 in Leslie County, Kentucky. He was a heavy equipment Mechanic for Sham Rock Coal Company and other Coal Companies. He was a certified CAT Mechanic. Robert was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alta Ruth Browning and Opal. Brothers Charlie and Glenn Jones.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Clara Sizemore Jones of Hyden, Kentucky; sons Robert Keith Jones (Donna) of Lexington, Kentucky, Thomas Darrin Jones (Tammy) of Lexington, Kentucky, Marc Jones and Eric Lee Jones both of Hyden, Kentucky. One sister Edith Roberts of Manchester, Kentucky along with ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Lee Melton and Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery at Wooton, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. till funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Military rites will be performed by the Leslie County D.A.V. at the funeral home following the services.
