Ronnie Barrett

Ronnie Barrett, 56 of Essie, Kentucky, departed this life Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Ronnie was born September 01, 1960 in Beverly, Kentucky, the son of Caleb Barrett and Daphine Roark Asher. Ronnie was a retired truck driver and enjoyed writing, drawing, hunting and music. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug Barrett and Danny Hensley.

Survivors include, three sons, Ronnie Earl Barrett of London, KY, Ricky K. Barrett and Brandon L. Barrett, both of Hyden, KY; his father, Caleb Barrett of Essie, KY; mother, Daphine Asher and step father, Abraham; step daughter, Donna Smallwood (Waldo) of Roark, KY; special friend and companion, Christine Barrett; one brother, Ricky Lynn Barrett (Angie), five sisters, Linda Barrett Lewis of London, KY, Sandra Barrett (Bryan) of Fairfield, OH, Suzie Barrett Crank (Mike) of MO, Sharon Barrett Gibson (Eddie) of KY and Peggy Louthan (Tim) of Roark, KY; four grandchildren, Layne Barrett, Cassie, Barrett, Liam Barrett, and Haley Smallwood; special friends, Kenny and Lisa Fee, Leslie Barrett and Jesaline Smith; A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday at the Lower Jack's Creek United Methodist Church with Chuck Jack, James Bowling, Jr. and Roy Napier officiating. Burial will follow at the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation after 5PM Friday evening at the church.
