Ronnie Bowling

Ronnie Bowling, 71, of Big Creek departed this walk of life on September 05, 2024 at his home.  Ronnie was born March 24, 1953 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of the late Green and Sylvia Hoskins Bowling.  He had been a life-long resident of Clay County.  

By occupation, Ronnie was a licensed surveyor.  He was employed by Shamrock Coal Company where he surveyed in the mining industry.

Outside of work, Ronnie was a true outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.  He found peace in sitting on his porch and enjoying God's creation.  When he wasn't enjoying the outdoors, Ronnie enjoyed watching westerns.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by one brother, Ernie Ray Bowling, his paternal grandparents Howard & Lillie Bowling, and his maternal grandparents Kelly and Laura Hoskins.

Ronnie leaves behind his devoted sister Evonne Shepherd (Ernest) of Manchester, KY, a special honorary brother Gene Bowling (Sue) of Manchester, KY.  His beloved aunts Edna Bowling, Bonnie Corum, and Alverna Bowling, A special nephew Ronald Bowling.  Special neice Sylvia Holmquist and a special honorary nephew and nieces, Casey Davidson Alexis Davidson and Beth Shepherd.  A sister-in-law Bertha Bowling. Her special friends Chuck Philpot and Tina Begley.  A host of other family and friends also survive. 

The funeral service for Ronnie will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Paul Mitchell and Roy Lane Woods officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hurd Cemetery at Oneida, KY

The family of Ronnie Bowling will receive friends at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home from 11a.m. until the service hour at 2p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home chapel.
