Roosevelt Ritchie

Mr. Roosevelt Ritchie, age 81 of Harlan, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Harlan A.R.H. He was born in Knott County, KY to the union of the late Clifton Ritchie and the late Phebea Ritchie. By occupation, Roosevelt was a former coal miner. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by, one son: David Lee Little; siblings, Coney, Astor, and Alex; mother of his children: Bessie Ritchie; grandsons: Herbie Napier and Brandon Ross Nantz.

Roosevelt is survived by, four sons: John S. Ritchie (Susie), Harold Ray Ritchie, and Eddie Wayne Little, all of Bledsoe, KY, and Junior Sandlin of Whitesburg, KY; two daughters: Brenda Ritchie of Bledsoe, KY, and Joann Nantz (Roscoe) of Helton, KY; twelve grandchildren: Shannon, Preston, Brandon, Harold, Jr., Brandon, Roosevelt Jr.and Robin, Melissa Cooper, Cooper, Chassy, Byron, Alyssa, and Chris. A host of great-grandchildren, other family and friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. - Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Nantz Cemetery at Helton, KY. Burial will follow after the services.
