Rosetta Gilbert

Rosetta Gilbert, 73, of Oneida, Kentucky,  passed away on August 31, 2025, at Landmark of Laurel Creek in Manchester, Kentucky. Born on June 9, 1952, in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of the late Clarence and Ida Barger Feltner.

Throughout her life, Rosetta was dedicated to her role as a homemaker, where she poured her love and care into her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, finding joy in their shared laughter and memories. Her family was her pride and joy, and her love for them was evident.

As a cat lover, Rosetta found comfort and companionship in her furry friends, and her home was often filled with the quiet purrs of the cats she adored. In addition to her love for animals, she was also skilled in crocheting, a hobby that allowed her to create beautiful pieces that symbolized her warm personality and creativity.

Rosetta is survived by her devoted daughter Mary Essie Lee and her husband Robert of Franklin, NC, as well as her caring brother Charles Feltner and his wife Janice of Manchester, KY. She leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Krista Lee and Kristina Lee, who were constant sources of joy in her life. Additionally, her special niece, Geraldine Bowling, and her husband Ralph of Sizerock, KY, held a treasured place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ida Barger Feltner, and her siblings: brothers Earl Barger, Frank Feltner, and Paul Amos Feltner, along with sisters Meadie Mae Steward and Hazel Rickman. 

There will be no services for Rosetta Gilbert.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
