Sandra "Sandy" Adams of Wooton, Kentucky, was born December 04, 1964 in Dayton, OH, a daughter of Carol Diamond Gilley, and the late James Matt Wells.

Sandy had a 
servant's heart, and helped others many times over the years. She was a people person and enjoyed interacting with others. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She adored her sons, and grandchildren. Her happiest days were spent in their presence creating memories to last a life time.

Sandy spent the last 20 years of her life as the owner & operated of S & D Marathon at Wooton, Kentucky, spending countless hours making sure the business was operating smoothly.

Aside from the day to day operations of running a business, Sandy found joy in working in her flower garden, gardening and raising fresh herbs. She was also talented at sewing and crafting.

Sandy departed this life on the morning of July 20, 2026 at her home in Wooton, Kentucky. Sandy was 61.

Left to cherish her memory is her cherished son, Tyler Sizemore (Morghin) of Smilax, KY, her husband, Doug Adams of Hyden, KY, her beloved mother, Carol Diamond Gilley (Keith) of New Carlisle, OH, her three treasured grandchildren, Harper, Greylan, and Rowyn Sizemore. Other survivors include her three brothers Bobby Wells of Somerset, KY, Gary Wells of Smilax, KY, and Jamie Wells (LaVonda) of Hoskinston, KY; two sisters, Theresa Reynolds (Kenny) of Midway, OH, and Rhonda Mills of Springfield, OH. A host of other relatives and friends also survives her passing.

She was preceded in death by her father James Matt Wells, her son Dustin Edward Sizemore, and the father of her children Gregory T. "Buddy" Sizemore.

The funeral service to commemorate the life of Sandra "Sandy" Adams will be held at 12 noon Thursday, July 23, 2026 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Larkin Lewis Cemetery at Smilax, KY with Tyler Sizemore, Kenny Reynolds, Gary Wells, Chad Joseph, Dustin Joseph, Jacob Joseph, and Keith Gilley serving as pallbearers. 

Friends and family may gather for visitation from 5p.m. - 9p.m. Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026 at the chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
