Sarah Osborne

Sarah Lillian Salyers Osborne, age 92, of Thousandsticks, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 04, 2013 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Sarah was born March 29, 1921 in Mennifee County, KY to the union of the late Lonnie Salyers and the late Jane Hamilton Salyers Osborne. Sarah was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and spending time with her family. She was the beloved mother of 5 girls and 3 boys. Sarah was a devoted church member until becoming ill. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Sheridan Osborne; 2-sons: Dee and Sherman Osborne; 3 -daughters: Mary Holland, Lillie Napier and Shirley Napier; 2-grandchildren: Clifton Holland and Gregory Osborne. Sarah leaves surviving the following relatives: 1 - Son: James Osborne (Geraldine) of Hyden, KY; 2 - Daughters: Ruby Baker (Frank) of Thousandsticks, KY and Edith Begley (Edd) of Somerset; 18 - Grandchildren, 13 - Great-Grandchildren, 9 - Great-Great- Grandchildren and a host of other family & friends also survive her passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Saturday, December 07, 2013 from the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Keith Bowling, Robert Amundson and Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Osborne Family Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY. The Osborne family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Thursday, December 05, 2013 and Friday, December 06, 2013 all day until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel. The following will serve as pallbearers: David Napier, Alan Osborne, Frank Baker II, Scottie Napier, Jeff Osborne, J.L. Osborne, Kevin Scalf, Tracy Begley, Tracy Begley, Doug Begley, Frankie Begley, Willie Jo Hollin, Jesse Fouts and Dwayne Brock. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kelvin Napier, Teddy Osborne, Justin Caudill and Stephen Caudill.
