Gil Curtis Frazier, age 31 of Wooton, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 01, 2014 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center. Gil was born November 23, 1982 in Perry County, KY to the union of Mae Kilburn Hurt and the late Gilmore Frazier, Jr. Gil was a United States Veteran, having honorably served in the United States Marines, until becoming medically retired. He was a Leslie County High School graduate and a life long resident of Leslie County. Gil enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motor cycles and working with vehicles. Gil is preceded in death by his father: Gilmore Frazier, Jr.; grandfather: Gilmore Frazier, Sr.; maternal grandparents: Harrison & Zella Mae Kilburn; step-grandparents: Herman & Mary Hurt; step brother: T.J. Hurt; uncle: Bill Kilburn.

Gil is survived by his loving mother: Mae Hurt and step father, Therman; beloved grandmother: Lula Frazier of Hamilton, OH; half brother: Gregory Frazier of Hamilton, OH; step-brother: Kevin Hurt of Hazard, KY; special aunts: Nancy Kilburn of Wooton, KY, Barbara Melton (Jerry) of Science Hill, KY, Freda Joseph (Donnie) of Wooton, KY, Vicky Barger (Larry) of Wooton, KY, Lou Clark of Hyden, KY, and Kathy Madden (Henry) of Wooton, KY, and Kimberly Whaley of Hamilton, OH; special uncles: Blaine Kilburn (Alfa) of Eubank, KY, Fred Kilburn (Sheila) of Wooton, KY, Harrison "Smokey" Kilburn, Jr. (Lori) of Hyden, KY, Bennie of GA, William of Hamilton, OH, and Darrell of Hamilton, OH; special cousin: Edward Madden of Hyden, KY; special aunt: Nancy Kilburn; special friend which was like a brother, Joe Pat Couch of Hazard, KY; special friend and CBS News Reporter, Callie Baggby; A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. - Thursday, November 06, 2014 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the John R. Hendrix Cemetery at Wooton, KY, with full military honors by the United States Marine Corp. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home chapel.
