Shirley Pennington

Shirley Pennington, age 69 of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. She was born July 24, 1944 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Lee and Ollie Joseph Pennington. She enjoyed walking, reading, watching t.v., canning and being Susie Homemaker. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Kevin Lee Pennington, James Elvis Pennington, and Otis Wagner Jr., also one daughter Sherry Lynn Wagner. Five brothers Elisha, Hamp, George Kenton, Homer and Elmer Pennington and one sister Eva Mosely. Survivors include one brother Denver Pennington and wife Margaret of Hoskinston, Kentucky; one sister Rosemary Pennington of New Carlisle, Ohio. One grandchild, Kevin Leon Pennington. Funeral Services for Shirley Pennington will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Greasy Creek Full Gospel Church. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm Sunday at the church.
