Walter Collett

Walter Collett was born October 23, 1937 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Ruben and Mary Whitehead Collett. He departed this life on May 08, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was a life long resident of Leslie County and by occupation was a retired coal miner. Walter enjoyed going to church and raising chickens. Other than his parents, Walter is preceded in death by sisters, Eunice, Ruth and Sally. Walter is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Alice Howard Collett of Stinnett, KY; two sons: Ruben Collett (Dorothy) and Alford Collett, both of Stinnett, KY; one daughter: Regina Collett (Larry) of Stinnett, KY; one brother: Charles Collett (Gladys) of Stinnett, KY; two sisters: Martha Lepino (Jim) of Indianapolis, IN and Betsy Barrett of London, KY; A host of other family and friends also survive his passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Monday, May 12, 2014 at his residence with Teddy Collett & Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Bowen's Creek Cemetery at Essie, KY.
