Wanda Couch

Wanda Griffith Couch, age 59, of Hyden, Kentucky, departed this walk of life on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center. She was born March 01, 1956 in Hyden, KY to the union of the late James and Ruby Adams Griffith. She enjoyed working with flowers, animals, gardening and working puzzles. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Rex Griffith, daughter-in-law: Marlene Carr, and sister-in-law: Patricia Griffith.

Wanda is survived by, one son: Vernon Carr of Wooton, KY; four brothers: Elbert Griffith (Sheena) of Adika, IN, Kenneth Griffith of Wooton, KY, Harry Griffith of Richmond, KY, and Johnny Griffith (Teresia) of Stinnett, KY; two sisters: Dora Lee Riger (Allan) of Florida, and Geraldine Griffith (Arthur Dixon) of OH; two grandchildren: Chelsea and Luke Carr. A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 20, 2015 in the chapel of the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Harold Turner and Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the Singleton Cemetery at Wendover, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Thursday evening at the funeral home chapel.
