Anna Mae Roberts was March 14, 1932 born in Leslie County, Kentucky to the union of the late Riley and Sophie Roberts Hacker. She grew up in Leslie County until moving away to work. She was retired from Lee- McClean Sewing Factory where she worked as a Seamstress. Anna Mae was a devout Christian; she dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She had a great love for children; even though she never had children of her own, she cherished every child in her family as if they were her own. Anna Mae had a passion for making dolls and making sure each child in the family had a doll. She also enjoyed working with flowers. She had a “Green Thumb”, everyone looked to her for guidance when it came to growing plants. Anna Mae departed this walk of life on Thursday, October 01, 2020 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center. She was 88 years old.
In addition to her parents, Anna Mae was preceded in death by two beloved brothers, Kenneth “Bert” Hacker and Charles Glenn Hacker, two sisters, Nora Jean Hacker and Odet Mosley.
Anna Mae leaves behind two beloved brothers, Robert Lee Hacker & Faye and Riley Hacker, Jr. & Jean, both of Stinnett, KY. Other survivors include her cherished dog, “Bobby”, her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her special caregivers who gave her the best care possible.
Funeral services for Anna Mae Roberts will be held at 1:30 p.m. – Sunday, October 04, 2020 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Geoffrey Roberts and Eugene “Friday” Roberts officiating. Interment will follow the services at the Hacker Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. – Saturday evening at the chapel.
