Dale Whitehead

Dale Whitehead, 60, of Stinnett, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, February 07, 2023, at Advent Health in Manchester, KY.  Dale was born June 19, 1962 in Leslie County, KY to the union of Barbara Baker Brock and the late John Whitehead.

By occupation, Dale was a former coal miner.  He was united in marriage to Kathy Napier on March 10, 1981.  Dale was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting ginseng, riding four wheelers and camping.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his father, Dale was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Whitehead.

Survivors include, his loving & Devoted wife, Kathy Jean Napier Whitehead of Stinnett, KY, his beloved mother, Barbara Baker Brock of London, KY, two sons, Terry Wayne Whitehead (Candis) of Stinnett, KY and Michael Dale Whitehead (Joanna) of Hoskinston, KY.  One daughter, Melissa Jean Turner (Michael) of Manchester, KY, three brothers, Shane Gray of NY, Wayne Whitehead of OH and John Allen Gray of OH.  Two sisters, Sonya Tafolla and Lisa Hill, both of London, KY. Four cherished grandchildren,  Dalton Whitehead, Madison MiKiela Turner, McKenna Grace Turner and Terri Kaydance Whitehead.  A host of other family and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Dale Whitehead will be held at 2p.m. – Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Troy Gray and Tyler Marcum officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the Baker Cemetery at Stinnett, KY with Derreck Bowling, Doug Bowling, John Howard, Michael Turner, Lynn Howard, John Allen Gray, Jamie Washburn and Chris Smith serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-9p.m. – Saturday evening at the funeral home chapel.
