Deidre Morgan May was born December 03, 1964, in Hyden, KY to the union of Helen Garrison Morgan and the late Randy Morgan.

She was married to Marvin May on April 23, 2016, in London, KY.  By occupation, Deidre was currently working as a Medicare Specialist, employed by Maximus. In past years, she worked as a Dental Assistant and in radiology.  Deidre was of the Baptist faith and was affiliated with The Creek Church in London, KY.

Deidre was a free spirit.  She lived life to the fullest and didn’t let anything get in her way.  She was a certified sky diver and had many hobbies and talents.  In her young childhood, she won the Ohio youth contest with her musical abilities as an accordion player. Her hobbies included traveling, snow skiing, hiking, reading, photography and arts & crafts.   She enjoyed trips to the beach and finding seashells.  She was also an avid Steelers and Pinguins Fan.

Above all, her greatest joy came from cooking and spending time with her family and friends.  Deidre was a great cook, and her food was to die for.  She appreciated simple things such as a hot cup of coffee, beautiful sunsets and Native American jewelry.

Deidre departed this life after a short illness on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the age of 57.

In addition to her father, Deidre was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Robert & Jean Morgan, maternal grandparents, Marcus & Oultia Garrison, her late husband and father of her children, Michael Joe Smith, special uncle, Roy Lee Garrison, two cousins, Michael Wayne, Randy and Ryan, as well as one stepdaughter, Jackie Marie May.

Deidre leaves behind, her mother, Helen Garrison Morgan of Hyden, KY, two daughters, Megan Stephanie Nicholle Smith (Mitchal) of Clermont, FL and Sydney Andre’a Madison Smith of London, KY, her husband, Marvin May of Chesnee, SC, three stepchildren, Josh Bunch (Tyleah), Tracy Brown (Scott) and Trisha May (John Hensley), all of Connersville, IN.  Other survivors include her beloved uncles, Bob Morgan (Jenny), John Wayne Garrison (Lois), Ronald Garrison (Merenda) and Greg Garrison (Tina) and one aunt, Kaye Smith.  Also, two cherished grandchildren, Carson Michael Tate Kendrick and Garrison Alexander Grey Snider, a special friend, Chrissy Buckle, her dog “J.J.” and a host of special cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Deidre’s life will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Shawn Allen officiating.

The visitation will be Saturday evening, 6p.m. – 8p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
