Denver Lewis was born January 30, 1974, in Hyden, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Alma Jean Caldwell Sizemore and Jim Sizemore. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was residing at Stinnett, Kentucky at the time of his death. He was united in Marriage to his wife, Shonda on January 31, 1995. He was a former coal miner, working as a roof bolter. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Denver departed this life on June 16, 2021, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY at the age of 47.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Alma Jean Caldwell Sizemore and his biological father, Gary Lewis.
Denver leaves surviving, his beloved wife 26 years, Shonda Lewis of Stinnett, KY; one son, Clayton Barrett, one daughter, Addison Paige Lewis. Other survivors include, one brother, Chad Sizemore (Kathy) of Hyden, KY, one sister, Angie Halcom of Hazard, KY, nephews, Austin Cornett, Donavon Sizemore, Colson Sizemore, Skylar Sizemore and Byron Collett (Sophie); one niece, Hannah Cornett, special friends, Elianah Morton, Judy Gilbert, Freddy Sam Collett, Dena Morgan Collett, Scott Roberts and Victor Mattingly.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Bowen’s Creek Cemetery with Waylon Roberts officiating. Interment will follow with the following serving as pallbearers, Chad Sizemore, Donavon Sizemore, Clayton Barrett, Byron Collett, Freddy Sam Collett, Scott Roberts, Travis Leddington and Victor Mattingly.
Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
