Edna (Begley) Nance

Edna Nance was born December 23, 1932 in Hyden, KY to the late Sherman & Sabrina Combs Begley.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Anna C. Brush Memorial Church at Dryhill, KY.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, canning and working in her flower garden.  She was an avid UK Basketball and Leslie Co. Basketball fan.  Above all, Edna enjoyed spending time with her family.

Edna passed from this life on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY at the age of 89.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nance, two sons, Charles Wayne Nance and James Sheman Nance, one grandson, Charles Owens, seven brothers and three sisters.

Edna leaves behind, four beloved daughters, Elizabeth Sizemore of Hyden, KY, Barbara Nance of Hyden, KY, Margaret Wooten of New Lebanon, OH and Tammy Nance of Hyden, KY, two grandsons, William Owens and Darrell Wooten, one granddaughter, Brandy Owens, and one great grandson, Isaac Owens.  A host of other family and friends also survive her passing.

Funeral services for Edna Nance will be held at 1p.m. – Friday at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Darrell Joseph officiating.

Interment will follow in the Nance – Owens Cemetery at Hyden, KY. (Family requests for immediate family only)

The family will receive friends at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home from 12noon until the funeral hour at 1p.m., Friday.
