Fern (Wells) Adams

Fern Wells Adams, 73, of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 06, 2022, at her residence after a brief battle with cancer. Fern was born on November 16, 1948, to the late Felix Kelton Wells and Ada Hensley Wells in Polls Creek Kentucky. 

On April 30, 1967, Fern married Danny W. Adams. Fern and Danny went on to have four children Danny Kelton Adams Patrick Kevin Adams, Kylon Tate Adams, & Kerry Lael Adams. Fern was a former employee at Columbian Rope Company in Guntown Mississippi making rope for the military and shipping industries. Fern was predeceased by her father Felix Kelton Wells, mother Ada Hensley Wells, brother Taylor Kelton Wells, & sister Patricia Wells Griffith. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband Danny Adams of Hyden, beloved son, Danny Kelton Adams and wife Melanie of Harlan Kentucky, Patrick Kevin Adams and wife Paula of Hyden Kentucky, Kylon Tate Adams and wife Tammy of Campton Kentucky, Kerry Lael Adams, and wife Heather of Crab Orchard Kentucky. One Sister Sheena Griffith of Indiana. Seven cherished grandchildren, Patricia, Patrick & Pada of Hyden Kentucky, Sarah, Ashlyn & Marcus of Harlan Kentucky, and Conner of Crab Orchard Kentucky, One Cherished Great Grand Child Michael. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 4p.m. – Friday, September 09, 2022 at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Craig Melton officiating.

Interment will follow the service at the Singleton Cemetery at Wendover, KY with her sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family of Fern Adams will receive friends for visitation at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home on Friday afternoon from 1p.m. until the service hour.
