Obituary

James Franklin Lawson age 59 passed away Monday July 4, 2022 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center.  He was born the son of the late Fletch Lawson and Geraldine Williams Lawson. He was a coal miner, and worked as a night watchman.  James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being with family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife Wanda Lawson.  James is survived by one son James Lawson and Renee Lawson, two daughters Beverly and William Sandlin of Hazard, Kentucky, Tracy and Isiah Farler of Viper, Kentucky, three brothers Larry and Ann Lawson of Wooton, Kentucky, Ricky and Sharon Lawson of Leatherwood, Kentucky, Don and Tiney Lawson of Jeff, Kentucky, four sisters Jacquelin Lawson and Clinton Roberts of Wooton, Kentucky, Cleda and Gary Williams of Leatherwood, Kentucky, Rose and Jeffery Wells of Wooton, Kentucky, Virgina and Howard Williams of Jeff, Kentucky, and five grandchildren Olivia, Emma, Sawyer, Fletcher, and Trinity.

A celebration of life will be held at the Big Leatherwood Baptist Church on Saturday, July 9th from 2P.M. until 6P.M.The family has entrusted Wolfe and Sons Funeral Home to carefully handle all the arrangements.
