Jimmy Cornett

Jimmy Ray Cornett, 74, died Novmber 18, 2019 at his home in Hyden.  Jimmy was born September 11, 1945 in Hyden, Kentucky, a son of the late Oscar and Hannah Earls Cornett.  He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and by occupation, he was a former coal miner.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cornett, brother, William Gordon Cornett and two sisters, Shirley Mae Cornett and Rose Cornett.

Jimmy leaves behind, three sons, Jim Cornett (Tammy) of Essie, KY, Steve Cornett (Kathy) and Daniel Cornett (Mary), both of TX.  Other survivors include, two brothers, Conley Cornett (Trina) and Gary Cornett, both of Irvington, KY.  A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are scheduled at this time. A service will be announced by the family at a later date.
