June (Hoskins) Wilder

March 9, 1948 — November 25, 2022

Hyden, Kentucky

June Wilder was born March 09, 1948, in Leslie County, KY, a daughter of the late Monroe and Mossie Bowling Hoskins.  She was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County.

June had a great personality; she was the center of attention at any gathering or event.  She loved to quilt, laugh and play pranks on people.  She appreciated good music, especially the oldies, and she loved to dance.  Above all, she loved her family fiercely and had a special bond between her sisters.

June departed this walk of life on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 74.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Wilder and two grandchildren, Javon & Daniel Joseph, Jr. She was join in death by her brother, James Ray Hoskins on November 26, 2022.

June leaves behind one beloved daughter, Carol Joseph of East Bernstadt, KY, sons James Monroe Wombles of Plainfield, IN, Billy Wayne Wilder of Hyden, KY, Michael Howard Wilder of Oneida, KY, Bobby Darren Wilder of London, KY and Travis Glen Wilder of Hyden, KY.  Other survivors include, two stepdaughters, Sandra Williams, Teresa Stabler, one brother,  Sam Hoskins of Indianapolis, IN, four sisters, Mary Ruth Reynolds of Plainfield, IN, Carol Robinson of Greenwood, IN, Polly Jean Morgan of Dayton, OH and Ada Vinson of Plainfield, IN.  Twenty-two Grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, special friend Judy Hammerick of TN.  A host of other relatives and friends also survive.

A funeral service for June Wilder will be held at 1p.m. Saturday, December 03, 2022 at Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home with Kip Wells and Charles Hoskins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sizemore Cemetery at Flat Creek with James Wombles, Travis Wilder, Bobby Wilder, Michael Wilder, Daniel Joseph, Austin Joseph, Bobby L. Morgan, Robert Lawson and Tommy Humphries serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11a.m. until the funeral hour at 1p.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home
