Manella Couch

Manella C. Couch, born December 06, 1926 in Leslie County, a daughter of the late Ray. R. Couch and the late Georgia Sizemore.  Manella was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.  Manella departed this life on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Hyden Health & Rehab at the age of 95.

In addition to her parents, Manella was preceded in death by he loving & devoted husband, Lawrence Couch, five brothers, Marcus, Oscar, Oakley, Manuel, Cornelius and Johnathan Couch, four sisters, Daisy, Jessie Marie, Ethel and Nettie Couch.

Survivors include, three sons:  Lawrence Woods of Bear Branch, KY, Johnny Browning (Nickie) of Oneida, KY, and Timmy Joe Burns (Brittany) of Taylor Mill, KY, three brothers, Edward Ray Couch (Roselee) of Hyden, KY, Vernon Couch of Hyden, KY, and Bobby Couch (Carol) of Norwood, OH, two sisters, Margie Browning (Doug) of London, KY and Christine Gambrel (Jodie) of Burlington, KY, special nephew she raised, Johnathon Browning of Oneida, KY, her cherished grandchildren, Lia Woods Collins (Nick) of Bear Branch, KY and Clinton Woods (Kelsi) of Yucca Valley, CA, Parker Bowning, Paige Browning, Braden Burns, and Landen Burns cherished great-grandchildren, Arianna Woods, Noah Woods, Hagan Collins, Ashton Collins, Tucker Collins, Chance Collins and Everett Woods.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Manella C. Couch will be held at 1p.m. – Friday, March 04, 2022 at the Couch’s Fork Church of God with Jerry Couch and Ted Couch officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Couch’s Cemetery at Thousandsticks, KY with Jeff Couch, Kenny Couch, Jerry Couch, Vernon Couch, Lawrence Woods, Johnny Browning and Scott Sutton serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11a.m. until 1p.m., Friday at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
