Mark David “Sharky” Coots was born on July 5, 1965 and departed his life on July 5, 2020 at the age of 55. He was born at the Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital and was the late son of Hurlen and Cora Coots.
By occupation he was a dozer operator for Black Hawk Mining at Hazard, KY. He was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of Yeaddiss, KY. Mark enjoyed riding his side by side and four-wheeler. He loved fishing and keeping his yard maintained but most of all, he truly enjoyed being with his family. He always wanted to have all the family to be together at Christmas time and on his birthday.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hurlen and Cora Coots, three sisters Polly Mari Bramel, Mackey Childers and Judy Adams, one brother Bobby Rex Coots and his surviving wife Lorene. He left surviving the following relatives: Wife, Janice Coots, one son Joshua Mark Coots, one daughter Andria Dawn Coots & Scott, two grandsons Isaiah Pilkin and Brantley Coots, three sisters Rosalee Kilburn and Donald, Joyce Boggs and James, Lorraine Boggs, three brothers GT Coots, Chucky Coots, Hurlen Jr. Coots and Maggie all of Yeaddiss, KY, two special nieces who stood beside him during his sickness, Eyvonne Coots and Ruth Elenes, one great nephew who was always ready to help at a moment’s notice taking Mark to his doctor’s appointments, James Allen Williams and three special friends, Danny Huff, Gary Baker and Quinton “Ponytail” Thomas, as well as a host of many other friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM - Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Yeaddiss, Kentucky with Rev. Don Kilburn officiating. Interment will be in the Coots Family Cemetery at Yeaddiss, Kentucky. The Coots family will receive family and friends for visitation after 6 PM. - Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Wolfe and Sons Funeral and 11 AM-1PM – Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
