Ray Morgan, age 74, husband of Zelma Smith Morgan passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center.  Ray had been a resident of Leslie County most of his life until moving to Nancy, KY and had recently been a resident of the Eastern Kentucky Veteran's Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  Ray was the son of the late Caleb and Laura Mosley Morgan. He was born October 13, 1946 in Leslie County, Kentucky.  He was a self employed business man and was a commercial roofer.  Ray enjoyed riding 4-wheelers,  an avid NASCAR fan, sports, and traveling.  Ray served honorably in the United States Army where he serve as a Military Policeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb and Laura Mosley Morgan; beloved daughter, Kimberly Morgan, a brother, Elvis Morgan, brother-in-law, Lonzo Morgan, his cherished father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Lillian Smith, and a sister-in-law Shirley Morgan.

Survivors include his loving & devoted wife, Zelma Morgan of Nancy, Kentucky, grandsons, Cameron Ray Howard of Stinnett, Kentucky and Gunner Young of Nancy, Kentucky, one daughter, Heather Nicole Morgan of Nancy, Kentucky.  Other survivors include his beloved brothers, Earn Morgan of Dayton, Ohio, Farmer Morgan and Judy of London, Kentucky, Winfredd Morgan of Stinnett, Kentucky, Joey Morgan  and Michelle of Mozelle, Kentucky,  Stephen Morgan and Donnie Morgan, both of Stinnett, Kentucky, his beloved sisters, Wilma Cantrell of Michigan, Fern Brock of Mozelle, Kentucky, Mavie Bowling of Stinnett, Kentucky, Evan Stevens of Stinnett, Kentucky and Jacquline Roberts of Wooton, Kentucky.  A special family member, John Hunt Morgan, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Burial will be Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 12:00 Noon  at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Southeast, Hyden, Kentucky. with military rites by Leslie County D.A.V. Chapter # 133..   The family has entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home to handle all the arrangements.
