INTERMENT: Graville Barger Cemetery - (Mudlick) Saul, Kentucky

VISITATION: 10A.M. - 2P.M. - Monday at the church.

Thurman Smith Jr., age 85, of Buckhorn, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Friday at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.  He was the son of the late Thurman Smith, Sr. and the late Alfha Couch Smith.  He was born in Leslie County on December 11, 1933.  He was a life-long farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting,and four wheel riding. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Smith.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Willhit and Bob of Indiana, Brenda Combs and Pete of Bettyville, Ky.,  three brothers, Johnny Gay and Lettie of Troy, Oh., Jimmy Smith and Betty and Joe Smith and Judy, both of Saul, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 22, 2019 at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church at Saul, Kentucky with Robert Rice officiating.  Burial will follow in the Garville -- Barger Cemetery at Saul, Kentucky.  The family will receive friends at the church Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.

The family entrusted Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home to handle all the arrangements.
