Tina Lynn Coots

Tina Lynn Coots was born June 10, 1962, in Hyden, KY.  She departed this life on August 09, 2021, at her residence at the age of 59.  By occupation, Tina was a former employee of Walmart where she took great pride in decorating the cakes in the bakery.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and was united in marriage to Elmer Coots on March 01, 1980.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She liked working with flowers, going to the dollar store, attending yard sales and going to church.  Above all, she cherished being involved in the lives of her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mahayla Roberts and two brothers, Matthew and Hubert Feltner.

Survivors include, her loving & devoted husband,  Elmer Coots of Wooton, Ky; one son, Wade Coots of Yeaddiss, KY, two daughters, Tasha Baker & Russell and Melissa Lowry, both of Wooton, KY; one brother, Tyrome Feltner & Pam of Wooton, KY; one sister, Muyranda Caudill & Kevin of Whitesburg, KY; six cherished grandchildren, Travis Dean Baker, Ashley Lynn Baker, James Riley Coots, Alyssa Katherine Lowry, Brysan Keith Elmer Lowry and Emily Jordan Kaye Lowry; special friends and prayer warriors, Bonnie Harris of Yeaddiss, KY and Teresa Day of Wooton, KY;  special cousin, Mae Coots of Smilax, KY; special friend & sister, Shirley Baker; a multitude of cherished cousins she loved dearly and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Friday at Hurts Creek Church of Christ with Danny Day and Harold Turner officiating.  Interment will follow in the Coots Cemetery at Smilax, Kentucky.  The family will receive friends for visitation after 6p.m. – Thursday evening at the church.

Arrangements are being handled carefully under the direction of Wolfe & Sons Funeral Home.
